Advent Poreč

Celebrating its 10th anniversary, Advent Poreč brings you more than a hundred diverse events – from a free ice-skating rink and live nativity scenes to concerts, children's shows, gastronomic events, and creative workshops. Everything takes place in the heart of the old town, on Matije Gupca Square, which will shine with thousands of lights during the grand opening on December 6 at 4:30 PM.

Music program
Advent Poreč offers a lineup of fantastic concerts featuring some of the most famous names from the national music scene – Toni Cetinski, Tomislav Bralić and Klapa Intrade, Maja Šuput, Miach, Željko Bebek, Gustafi, Alen Vitasović, Neno Belan, Adastra, Night Express – along with numerous local bands and DJs who will create a cheerful atmosphere every day.

New Year's Eve
This year, Poreč will host no less than four New Year’s Eve celebrations. The youngest can enjoy a children's midday New Year’s party on December 31 at Matije Gupca Square, complete with entertainment and kids’ fireworks. In the evening, the main celebration on the main square Trg Slobode will be led by one of the region’s most beloved artists – Toni Cetinski – while at the same time, Matije Gupca Square will host a New Year’s party with Miach and Kids from the Sky. For those who wish to keep celebrating, the festivities continue on January 1 with a New Year’s party featuring Night Express Band.

Events for all ages
Advent Poreč is a festive oasis for the whole family. In the warm ambiance of the old town, children can enjoy daily activities such as animations, dance performances, creative workshops, and plays that spark the imagination. A true festive adventure has been prepared especially for them – treasure hunts, fire shows, holiday photo sessions with Santa Claus, dance performances, and a specially decorated Santa’s House will turn every day into a magical experience. Meanwhile, parents can enjoy live music, delicious food, and the relaxed atmosphere of the Advent huts.

The free ice rink, accompanied by festive music, will resonate with laughter as the most beautiful winter melody. Special attention is given to family moments: free treats for everyone during Sweet Morning, and a free brunch on Christmas Eve morning and the Advent Run invites all generations to take part in a charitable sports challenge. Family days, comedy nights with famous stand-up comedians, pub quizzes, exhibitions, Christmas concerts, and a traditional Istrian soup cooking competition will further enrich the festive experience.

The highlight of the program will be the staging of live nativity scene on December 26 at 7 PM, bringing the spirit of Christmas to life in the heart of Poreč.
