Charity Bike Ride BICICLETTA ROSA

The charity recreational bike ride called "Bicicletta Rosa" will take place on Saturday, August 9, 2025, starting at 5:00 PM, in Nova Vas, Poreč, as part of the celebration program for the local patron saint St. Roch.

The goal is to raise funds for psychological support for oncology patients in Poreč. The ride will be held on the picturesque Parenzana trail and is recreational in nature. Participants will have the option to choose between cycling and recreational walking, guided by experts from Nova Vas to Baredin. Cyclists will ride in groups accompanied by volunteers from the Poreč Cycling Club, with children cycling approximately 15 km accompanied by parents, while adults will cycle about 30 km.

Participant registration will take place from 5:00 PM to 5:45 PM, and the race start is scheduled for 6:00 PM. Applications can be submitted via email at biciclettarosa1@gmail.com or on the race day at the info point. The recommended donation fee is 5 EUR for children and 10 EUR for adults, with all contributions directed to psychological support for oncology patients in Poreč.

The event is organized by the Local Committee Nova Vas-Villanova, with support from the IDS Women's Club of Poreština, Poreč Cycling Club, and the City of Poreč-Parenzo.

Participants must provide their own equipment, and helmets are mandatory. Riding is at participants’ own risk, and volunteers will be available at various checkpoints to provide assistance and support.

After the ride, participants will have the opportunity to enjoy an entertainment program, including tasting grilled specialties by purchasing a donation voucher, as well as the longest traditional pastry "povetica" prepared by the women of Nova Vas.
