Among the large number of amateur cycling races on the Istrian peninsula, the Limes Bike Tour organised by the Vrsar Tourist Board is getting more and more important. This event is mainly intended for families with children, but is also open for participants of all ages.
The start is on Vrsar's waterfront, and a large part is ridden through the Kontija forest. A stop above the Pirate's Cave on the slopes of Lim Bay is obligatory as it offers a breath-taking view and is an ideal chance to take a photograph from this attractive viewpoint. For all participants of the race, scheduled for 24th April, lunch is provided at the Hunting House (Lovačka Kuća) in the Protected Forest of Kontija.
The finish line does not mean the end of socialising. A prize draw for all participants is scheduled along with an attractive music and entertainment programme.
Enrolments should be made via email to email@example.com The Limes Bike Tour trail mainly runs on a macadam road so it is most suitable for riding on mountain bikes, although it can be ridden on trekking and electric bikes too.
