Workshop: Penelope’s Thread

This workshop offers a unique experience where participants can explore a new creative skill – dyeing and eco-printing fabrics with plants. They will be introduced to the basics of botanical eco-printing, a technique in which pigments from plants are directly transferred onto fabric without the use of artificial dyes. Participants will learn how to naturally transfer colorful patterns and shades from leaves and flowers onto fabric. With expert guidance, they will design and dye their own unique cotton fabric using natural pigments and plants.

The workshop will be led by textile and fashion designer Silvia Kranjec Gajić (Studio OWN).

The workshop will take place on Saturday, September 6, starting at 10:00 at the Visitor Center “La mula de Parenzo.”
